Cretaceous Seas
Mosasaurs are not closely related to other marine reptiles but are in actuality gigantic lizards that have returned to the sea from the land. Fragmentary remains have been found in the Cretaceous seas covering northeastern Arizona 100 million years ago.

Trinacromerum was a marine reptile belonging to the pliosaurs, the short-necked plesiosaur group. She lived in the Cretaceous seas covering northeastern Arizona 100 million years ago.

First Flight
Flight is an innovation that has evolved several times in the animal kingdom. Pteranodon was one of the larger flying reptiles, with a wingspan of as much as 30 feet. They lived about 75 million years ago during the Cretaceous Period.
